Internal auditor environmental management ISO 14001: 2015 webinar

Internal auditor environmental management ISO 14001: 2015 webinar

A functioning environmental management system (EMS) has become a fundamental requirement for business success. This sets the course for a sustainable contribution to environmental protection. To achieve this, companies have to be careful with resources. This benefits the environment, society and, last but not least, your own cost structure. From a business point of view, saving resources leads to cost reductions and, as a result, to optimized profitability. In the context of the environmental management system, resources are meant that have negative consequences for the environment. An EMS also reduces the adverse effects of environmental conditions on the company. If the environmental management system is “lived”, companies achieve continuous improvement in environmental performance.

A certified EMS represents a confidence-building measure towards customers and all interested parties who directly or indirectly influence the company. Organizations with a certified EMS enjoy competitive advantages over their competitors.

One of the milestones that lead to successful certification are “internal environmental audits.”

This checks the conformity of the EMS with the standard specifications of ISO 14001: 2015, a prerequisite for continuous improvement.

Internal environmental audits are only expedient, however, if competent auditors plan and carry out effective and effective audits. This not only requires professional, but also social skills.
